Meet the Staff

 

Miss Patti Johnson Coe is Music Director at FUMC Lake Alfred. She served as Music Director from 1980-May, 2000 and returned as Music Director in January, 2011. Patti was born and raised in Lake Alfred, Florida. Her grandmother, Ula Johnson, served as  the first organist in the church, so family ties run deep within the musical aspects of FUMC. Patti will gladly tell you that her greatest accomplishments in life are her three children, Michael, a teacher and head football coach; Ryan, an accountant for Tampa Electric Company and Erin, who is also a teacher. In her spare time, Patti enjoys spending time with her family, especially her seven grandchildren: MacKenzi, Zacary, Kayl, Logan, Dru, Brayden and Ally. Oh, and Alexa Faith is due in December! Patti's passion is serving and praising God through music, and she feels privileged to be part of such a Christ centered congregation here at FUMC!

 

 

 

 

 

Ms Angie Dawson has been filling hats here at First UMC since 1999.  She started out as our Children and Special Needs Programming Director.  In 2001, she was asked to assume the position of Youth Director and soon afterward the Young Adult Ministries position followed.  She is dedicated to all her kids and considers her mission in life to help "her babies" to understand God's awesome love and to grow in their faith.

 

Angie is a native "Floridian".  She was born in Orlando and was raised and still lives in Winter Haven.  She graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in both Elementary and Early Childhood Education.  She worked in the public school system for 8 years as an elementary and special education teacher before beginning her ministry here.  She has two wonderful "red head" kids, Hannah who is 12 and Paul who is 17.  She is the past President of The Heart of Florida Autism Society.

 

Her hobbies include cooking and baking (especially anything chocolate!) and she is an avid reader enjoying an eclectic group of authors.

 

She loves her church and all the people in it and loves being a part of the FUMC family.
